JCdizzystar Shoes are hand-painted in the UK by the artist using acrylic paints and waterproof ink. Each design takes upwards of 10 hours to create and each pair of shoes is guaranteed to be unique.

Have a pair of shoes designed specially for you and you can be sure never to see the same pair on anyone else. A range of stock designs is available, or alternatively any design you can think up can be recreated for you by the artist. Find inspiration on the internet, collect images of things that hold particular meaning to you, or give the artist free range to create an individual piece of artwork just for you. Pretty much anything is possible – if in doubt, just ask.

JCdizzystar shoes are the ideal gift for baby showers, christenings, birthdays, weddings, Christmas, or any other occasion. Shoes are suitable for all ages, from babies to pensioners. Shoes can be worn normally, or kept as a special personalised piece of art.

Q: So how does this work?

A: Firstly you contact me to discuss the type of design you want, or if you are not sure, I can suggest things for you and show you images of previous shoes. A limited number of designs are usually held in stock, so sometimes you will be able to see a design you like in the gallery which are available in your size, and purchase them directly. However, usually you will have to order your design to be made specially. The easiest way to do this is for you to send in a pair of shoes you know fit you, and they will be painted and then returned to you. Alternatively, you can arrange to have a specific style and size of shoe purchased on your behalf, for an additional charge. Most shoes can be painted, but the pros and cons of specific materials will be discussed with you.

Q: What kind of design can I have?

A: Virtually anything you can think of! Past designs have included sports shoes decorated with graffiti-style art, baby pink boots with painted fairies and decorated with glitter and ribbons, manga-style cartoon art, mendhi-inspired gold painted stilettos, and even a pair of shoes based on the incredibly popular Twilight book and film series, by Stephenie Meyer. All efforts will be made to accommodate any request, so if in doubt, please ask!

Q: How much do they cost?

A: As each pair of shoes differs greatly from previous pairs, so too do the prices. At one end of the scale, a very small shoe (such as for a baby) with a simple design could cost in the range of £10-30, whereas a pair of knee-high boots entirely covered in colourful, intricate designs would likely cost upwards of £300. For this reason, the most accurate way of estimating the cost of your desired design is by discussing it with me, at absolutely no obligation. Prices are flexible to a certain extent, so if you have a specific budget do let me know and I'll see what can be done to accommodate you; usually there is a halfway point between the design you have your heart set on, and a similar one which takes half as much time!

The main factor which decides the price of the shoes is the complexity of the design. Many of my shoe designs have taken more than 20 hours to paint by hand, so these designs usually fall in the price range of £100-200. However, JCdizzystar shoes are currently being sold at special introductory rates, which will only be available for a limited period of time.

The cheapest and easiest way to buy shoes is always directly from me - in person when possible, or via telephone / internet / post when not. This way costs such as transport and shipping are kept to a minimum. When my shoes are sold through shops or other third parties, such as websites, prices begin to climb accordingly.
